Do people change after something BAD Happened?

Some say “People only change when something bad happens.” I don’t believe that. I have had bad things happened to me and at times I wouldn’t change. I have also seen people go back to doing the same things they were doing after something bad happened to them. It is just that teens now days or even grown ups don’t learn right from their mistakes and they feel they can’t stop doing the things they do because it is a habit. For example, when we were at the assembly last week, we saw a video of teens that were in shock trauma after drinking and driving. These kids looked horrible in the movie and there was this one kid that had been drinking and driving a four wheeler and after he got better, he went back to riding four wheelers and drinking. Now of course he didn’t change not even because of what he went through. Now you see my point, if you don’t want to change something or change yourself you wont do it not even if the worse came to last.

U.S. get involved in other Countries AFFAIRS?

I think they should not get in other countries affairs. I feel this way because it makes the U.S. lokk like they caused all the wars and fight just to gain more power. like for example how the Cuban fight led to something else was wrong and it was all the U.S just to gain that part of the worls Cuba. Another example would be the WW1 . This was cause of the U.S. trying to gain over parts that didn't belong to them and causing it to go all wrong just because they wanted to be on the top of other territories. I feel like the U.S. no should stay out of other countries affairs.

UNIT 6-- Assingment 1

NO, it is not okay to get involved into other people's business. I feel like it is not okay because, people need privacy and secret to themselves. I will admit that I have got into people’s business, but not for the wrong reasons. I’m not saying there are right ways, but what I meant was that it was for good intensions. There was a time that my friend was dating this older guy, and of course she was blind and didn’t see the reason in why he wanted to be with her. I had heard him talking to friend, and what he said to her was the same exactly thing that was on my mind. He told his friend he just wanted to sleep with my friend and then leave her. I ended up telling her but she didn’t want to believe me. She got pregnant after a few weeks and guesses what; he left to and went on to another girl. Now I know people need to mind their own business at all times and if you know something they don’t, let them find out on their own.

The Richest Person

Bill Gates as I heard of is the richest man in our country. I feel like I should envy him for it, but i dont. I mean at times I think, why can't I have all that money instead of him. Bur, that is only when I don't have money. When I have money I don't envy him or anybody else because I know that I work hard for what I have and earn so that makes me feel good about myself. I feel like he also did earn that money himself because the way he got rich in the first place was how he created the microsoft software. So doesn't that count as if he did the works himself. I think so. In the stories I have heard before were that he does help people and doesn't keep the money to himself. So that is a good thing, at least he is not stingy! I rather have him share the money with the poor and sick then with ordinary wealthy people.

Assingment #1 Unit 4

A while ago I was involved in a fight with a girl who once was my friend. The fight was caused honestly by me, and for my own reasons. No guy problem, no family problem, but because she was just getting me mad. I did try to avoid this fight, but she just kept running her mouth that I just got to the point that led us to fight. The outcome of this event was that her parents pressed charges on me and I ended up with probation for one year. Not only that but the fight cause us to hate each other more that everything I see her I want to say something. I learned that it is not worth fighting someone that no matter how bad they get beat up they will always run their mouths.

Assingment #1 Unit 3 Exciting and Painful

Growing up can be both excting and painful. First it can be exciting because you will have more freedom as a teenager, most trust with your parents, and you will be more independent. Also because you will have your first job, first love, and practically your first best moment. Growing up is always sometime you should enjoy and value. It can also be painful beacuse uou are growing apart from your parents, you arel leaving your childhood behind, and most importanly because you then learn how life really is. Life is not pretty in pink, it is not a perfect world. Their are things that will make you feel depressed, things that will make you shed tears. I think that Growing up is one of the hardest things ever beacuse you never know what will come, whether it is good or bad.

Assingment #7 Unit 2 Breaking Law Justified

The Americans broke most of the laws that they didn't agree with. when certain people are geting treated unfair just beacuse of who they are, something must be done to stop that. That is what the Americans did, they put a stop to the unfair things they were going through. They had to put the Britains in their place, and make sure they were treated the same.

Alot of colonist broke many of the rules that were set by the British. They did this because they wanted to be independent and be treated with the same rights. Britain was practically taking away the natural rights of each American. They were even taxing them without their consent. That was one of the main reasons why the Americans also broke law to justify. Britain was sending their British soldiers to each home of an American to stay their, but not only that, they also had to eat of the Americans money and home. When the Boston Tea Party came, the americans dressed up, and threw the tea into Boston Harbor, since the tea was going to be taxed. Lots of other things happened which ended up leding to war, which them the Americans won.

Back further before the American Revolution, some people were free but not all. Let's just say that white people were free to do what ever they wanted when ever they wanted.Blacks were not. They were not allowed to drink from same fountains as white. They were not allowed to attend the same school as white. They even had to use different bathrooms at that time. On of the major thing was that blacks would ride in back of the bus, and were absolutely not permitted in the front. A women by the name of Rosa Parks once boarded into the Montgomery City bus, she sat were she wasn't suppose to. When a white man boarded the bus, and the driver told her to move so that the white man could sit she refused. She was arrested, but after that things changed the Civil Rights movement was formed. Also with the help of Dr. King Jr.

I feel that sometimes breaking the law is a good thing. It might change something that is unfair to alot of certain people. Then again now a days if you break a law nothing will change, it might but what are the possibilities? Did both the Americans and Rosa Parks do the right thing? I think so, because if it changed the live of many and it's affective today then yes, it was a good thing. Thanks to all of them we now have freedom and were are not treated different for our colors.

Assingment #6 Unit 2-Liberty or Death

What I have leanred from reading this is that people from back in revolutianry era wait for their freedom. They wonder when it will come. Most people prefer to die then be in slavery. these poor people are tired that they are now fighting and trying to get out of this life. These people cry out for peace and peace but after all they say their is no peace. what has surprised me the most is how they are thinking about either bring free and having liberty or having death. This surprises me because why tell them to kill you if you are a slave. Those people are thinking like their is no liberty coming their way, but if they would wait they would have liberty some day.

Assingment #1 Unit 2

1. To keep us safe.
2. To set the law.
3. Help us economically.
4. Offer us a better place to live.
5. Maintain the united states the way it is.

No, I would not be willing to join a revolution if our government was not fulfilling with the purposes they are there for. My reason is, that I would not join a revolution because no more how we do it or what we do, the government will probably have more power than us either way. Another reason why I would not choose to go that far would be because if we talk with the government and a way that is not fighting we can solve the porblem. The government would probably will understand they need to do certain things right and better, so there is no need to join a revolution!

Assingment #7 Unti 1

From reading this document about duties of husbands and wives in the colonies, I learned mainly that husbands rule their wives. It was said that husbands must love their wives as well as the wives love their husband. Well like I said it mainly talks about how wives have to listen to everything the husbands say, but it is not a unfair thing. The reason is because the husband no matter how much power they have over the wives they are still loving and caring. It surprised me about how they believe that when they disagree to love each other they are doing the devil's work. I strongly disbelieve that if you disagree to love someone you are doing the devil's work. This is beacuse yourself or no one can force you to love someone you don't love. What is different between our time and their's is that we as women don't let a man rule us. Well as in for myself, because I feel like we can't always depend on the husband because their might be one day were you will be alone and then who will you depend on? What I think is the same between the two time periods, is that a husband and wife should help one another in the times of needs. Also how they will be their in times of bad health, illness, and etc. I feel like the times have change since now things aren't about

Assingment #1 Unit 1

  1. I think what motivitates immigrants to come to the United States is economical reasons. Immigrants from all over the world, for example Mexico, Africa, and more come for money. Immigrants end up losing families they have in their country to come here and earn more money. Immigrants are here to have a better life as well as for their families. One thing they do gain is respect becuase it moust be hard to leave people you care for behind but in the reason to make their lifes easier. Another reason might be for freedom, but that is really not the reason since slavery is not really around any more. The United States of America is known for the work of these Immigrants.

  2. If I decided to immigrate somewhere else it would probably have to be for freedom. It would be for freedom because I dont have a problem economically. Freedom would be my choice since here in the U.S. we have so many laws and restrictions. I would like to immigrate somewhere were they would not be so strict. Here in the Americas we have laws and laws that are not really all that fair. Also like the fact that if you are a teen or lets say a minor, you can not do most things on your own. It is like we have to depend on our parents even if we are responsible enough. All we need is to be more free, and more independent. That would be the reaosn I would immigrate somewhere else for freedom!
